Carnival is of pagan origin. In Christianity, it marks the beginning of the Lenten season, so people celebrate and have fun before the retreat period begins. It is the greatest spectacle on earth. A giant party and extravagant watered music (samba-plot) and much dance (samba) and joy, typical of the Brazilian people. A week of celebration with the most varied types of dances, songs and colors.
